Official Speak
Okay, any translations available?
We nearly have a dozer line around the edge, then we'll have crews working overnight and the proposals are that tomorrow morning we'll upsize our commitment to continue blacking out...
Hint: this gem was from an official spokesperson and it was in the Aussie news just before Christmas.

Hmmm. No responses. This was an official statement about the condition of a large bushfire. The "dozer line" was a fire break (made with bulldozers). The "upsize our commitment" was an admission that they did not have enough firefighters on the ground to contain the blaze....

I was about to comment that it translates as:
we are trying to cut a firebreak with a dozer and we have run out of fire appliances and fire fighters for the moment. We plan to get some more to throw at the fire tomorrow - but you beat me to it!
