TechTip: Lotto Numbers
Where do you get your "lucky numbers" from? This thought was triggered by a post over at Da Goddess which lists her lotto / lottery numbers. I have often joined in a pool at work and someone will ask: "What numbers do you want?". Does it matter? I just pull out a little random number generator and run it. I even have a nicely formatted one liner:
perl -e 'print "Lotto #: ", int(rand(43) + 1), "n"'
The other thing that got me thinking was watching:
It Could Happen To Youwhere the jury believed in a vision of a dead man and a strange wedding story (do they have juries in divorce trials in the USA?) help to select lotto numbers.
Do you have "lucky numbers"?
[Note: Lotto has 44 number here, hence the 43 (+1) to make 44.]

I used to think my lucky number was "3" but wonder of wonders, I've played numerous combinations of the number 3 and it's always the lottery that wins my $3 U.S. dollars :-)
