American vs English

The difference between America and England is that Americans think 100 years is a long time, while the English think 100 miles is a long way.

Good one! Reminds me of the time a friend's British brother-in-law, having gone to Houston, Texas for a business meeting, decided to come down here to SW Florida to see his brother.

He decided to take the bus. After all, it was only a few states over, how far could it be... (It's over 1000 miles.)

Too true! What is with that 100 miles is far away thing anyway? That wouldn't even get me across my state! :)

In India, 100 years is neither too long, nor 100 miles too far. The difference between England and America is the accent.
