Happy Hogmanay

This qualifies as a TechTip because all my engineering friends have hangovers....

Just in case some of you need it, I have recycled an important recipe from last year:

Hair of the Dog

Single whisky

Double cream

1 tablespoon of honey

You can learn more about Hogmanay here and there are some cooking suggestions here. The really dedicated might like to check out this site...

Regardless, I would like to wish all my readers a very happy Hogmanay and a prosperous and joy-filled New Year.

I just registered that I had replied to Karol and not left a comment for other curious readers. The tartan is Stuart of Bute (note the French spelling of the name). The island of Bute is on the western side of Scotland in the month of one of the lochs. I believe the island and the castle belong to the Duke of Argyle (Clan Campbell) now - the territory was forfeit in 1745 - at least that is the story that I was brought up with. My great grandmother used to say that the only thing worse than a sassenach was a Campbell. You see a sassenach couldn't help being ignorant but the Campbells thought they were Scots...

[Apologies to any Campbells out there who may be offended by such historical comments. My great gandmother has been gone for many a year - God rest her soul.]
