Photo of the Day

This photo of the Luxor cafe demonstrates a typical "flexibility" that we found in country towns. Fish & chips, pizza, hot bread and pasta all in the same shop:

We also found service stations selling refrigerators and televisions, grocery stores selling animal feed, and a camping store that doubled as the local Darrell Lea (chocolate).
The other interesting thing is that every town we came across, no matter how small, had a Christian bookshop. It could be that the cities are turning pagan but the country people, who live much closer to the harsh realities of nature, can feel the deity in everyday life...
