Intel iMac vs Safari
Safari seems to have some terrible problems on the Intel iMac. It keeps crashing when ever you do something related to tabs...
Sound familiar? There are two options here, one is to use Firefox and the other is to remove the software that is causing the problem...
And the problem is not Safari :-)
Try removing Flip4Mac (the WMV replacement software), you can read about the problem here and there are removal instructions here.
Given that Flip4Mac has both a quicktime component and a web component, you may be able to just remove the web part - I haven't tested that.

Quick way to test this is to create a new pristine user account. Take that a step futher and install Flip4Mac and see if it causes any issues. If you can duplicate any particular failure, send those details to support@flip4mac.com

It is repeatable (with a new user account). It also appears to be a known problem (there are multiple references on the web for the problem with tabs and Flip4Mac on the Intel machines).
Unfortunately, removing it does not solve all the problems.
Reinstalling the entire system, Safari works. Install Flip4Mac stuffs it and deinstalling it does not completely unstuff it.
Oh well, there is always firefox :-)

Just curious if I'm missing something, but it appears that Safari for Intel Macs lacks tabs, or any real preference settings.
I checked out my sister's Intel Mac, and couldn't find much of anything for pref's. Am I missing something, oris this on the way?
