Speaking of Hawaii. I asked a hula dancer if their state was pronounced Hawai'i or Havai'i.
She said "Havai'i."
I said "Oh, how long have your lived here?"
She said "Two veeks!"

That is just so corny. I can't believe I posted that! lol, but then again, it was one of the first jokes I remember growing up. :-) lgp
