Contest closed - no winners. It was an easy one - what does that thing look like? An eagle. Where are we? Australia. Answer: Australian Eagle. Yup. No worries. She'll be right. Try again next time.

Fair enough, I got an email pointing out that the question was about what this bird was AND what did it eat. I didn't answer the second part of the question. If the author of the email had left a comment I could give a serious answer but instead I'll just make something up as I go along.
This is a picture of an Australian Eagle (not to scale). It eats whole sheep, drop bears and the occasional tourist. For a snack, hoop-snakes are popular.
